Overview
TrudyLines NYC is the studio practice of Corina Weikl, the Austrian-born fine-line tattoo artist and former lead at Bang Bang NYC. Her work has been featured across VOGUE, POPSUGAR, and European editorial press, and her practice extends beyond tattooing into adjacent ventures spanning generative NFT art (Movement of Mind), an AI sustainability platform for fashion (Cerofy Inc.), and clean-water philanthropy (#BottleNo30). The VaporAviator Design Team delivered a full digital re-architecture: a Framer-engineered main site, a decoupled Vercel-hosted sub-domain for her generative NFT collection, and a zero-downtime infrastructure migration off a legacy WordPress stack. The result is a single, coherent digital institution that mirrors the precision of her line work.
Our Work
The engagement was a strategic overhaul. The previous presence distributed Trudy's identity across an aging WordPress install on Hostinger and a static sub-domain managed outside her control — a fragmented stack that undercut the editorial polish of the practice it represented. Our team re-architected the entire surface around Framer for design integrity and Vercel for the generative sub-domain, while preserving the operational backbone — Google Workspace, MX records, domain ownership — through the transition without interruption. The collaboration treated Trudy's practice as a digital institution rather than a portfolio — fluent across tattoo, art, technology, and philanthropy — and engineered an interface that holds all four without diluting the focus on the line work at its center.
Design Approach
• Visual System & Editorial Tone: A restrained chromatic palette and editorial typography calibrated to mirror the precision of Trudy's fine-line aesthetic — minimal, deliberate, no decorative noise. Portfolio layouts position each piece as a gallery object rather than service inventory. • Framer Architecture: A modular Framer build engineered for high-fidelity image delivery and responsive across the portrait-heavy mobile traffic typical of a tattoo clientele. Navigation resolves cleanly into Portfolio, About, Press, FAQs, and Booking — each surface weighted for editorial gravity without obstructing the booking pipeline. • Sub-Domain Decoupling: The Movement of Mind generative NFT collection lives on nft.trudylines.com, deployed on Vercel and decoupled from the main Framer environment. The two surfaces operate independently while remaining unified under a single domain identity. • Infrastructure & Migration: A full DNS audit, nameserver transition, and preservation of all critical MX, SPF, and DKIM records. Email deliverability, booking flow, press archive, and contact channels remained operational across the cutover, with a low-traffic window selected for the final propagation.
The Outcome
TrudyLines NYC now operates as a singular digital institution rather than a fragmented portfolio — a positioning consistent with her editorial coverage and her standing in New York's fine-line tattoo practice. The Framer-engineered system gives Trudy direct, ongoing control over her own visual narrative, while the decoupled NFT sub-domain holds room for the multidisciplinary work that defines her brand. Beyond a website, the project sets a benchmark for how independent artists with multi-vertical practices can present themselves online: editorial-grade, technically sound, and built to evolve.
